Open sided grown dome Konstantin Kirsch interest in Permaculture and the discovery of Arthur Wiechula's drawings and writings, led to the belief that, through patience and dedication, a grown house will become reality.  He started growing his first tree dome in February 1989. The tree species was willow, unfortunately due to lack of water the willow didn't grow well. For his next major project he decided to use bare root ash saplings. He wove these saplings into a diamond patten to form the walls. This project is a five bedroom tree dome.

He has written a book about how to grow a home. The title is Naturbuten which means Naturebuildings. It is now in full colour and availableto buy from his site. For the time being, it is only available in german language. Close up of woven fence
